This solar powered blood bank refrigerator uses 12V DC electricity directly from the solar electric system. For the first time at Kofan Gayan hospital, blood donations can be stored for up to 35 days in a refrigerator that maintains constant temperature 24 hours a day. Blood banking will allow transfusions to occur promptly.
