Red Dog Radios

Tom Ohlsson is an innovative radio engineer who has provided ongoing consultation and expert design of the two-way radio system. He has supplied the ICOM two-ways radios that are now in use in our pilot site. In February, Nigerian doctors told us they could only use the two-way radios when they were in close range of the hospital. Some of the hospital workers live as far as 5 km away from the main facility. When we provided this in formation to Tom, he designed a novel system to extend the range of the radios to 10 - 12 miles.
